Assistant Commissioner, Inland Revenue Department,

R.K. Harper, an ex - 1.0.5. officer who has been Comalasioner of Income Tax in Burma and in the Punjab and who got on particularly well with Chinese in Bueno is interested in this post, but in view of your despatch under reference recommending Chidell for it, I propose, if you agree, to drop approach to Harper regarding this appointment and to sound him regarding post of Registrar of Co-operatives instead, Harper has also been Registrer of Co-operative Societies in Burma. He has not yet been interviewod, but as it was proposed to call him for interview on 22nd October regarding vacancy for Assistant Commissioner, I should be grateful for your views earliest.
